A.J. Ladman Exemplary Service Award Deadline October 12

Presented periodically to a member distinguished in the field of anatomical sciences who has provided exceptional service to the Association and/or mentorship in the discipline.


Henry Gray Distinguished Educator Award Deadline October 12

AAA's highest education award for human anatomy education in the anatomical sciences as broadly defined- including gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy- at the medical/dental, graduate, or undergraduate level of teaching.


Henry Gray Scientific Achievement Award Deadline October 12

AAA's highest scientific honor recognizes unique and meritorious contributions to and achievements in anatomical sciences by a distinguished AAA member.


Early-Career Investigator Awards Deadline October 18

Recognizes investigators in the early stages of their careers who have made important contributions to biomedical science through their research in cell/molecular biology, developmental biology, comparative neuroanatomy, or the morphological sciences.


Fellows Grant Award Program Deadline November 1

Supports research proposals submitted to national or international funding agencies that were scored, and generally well received, but did not receive funding. 


Basmajian Award Deadline November 1

Recognizes health science faculty who are in the formative stages of their career that teach human or veterinary gross anatomy, documented excellence in their contribution to the teaching of gross anatomy, and have outstanding accomplishments in biomedical research or scholarship in education.


Education Research Scholarship Deadline November 1 

Supports a member who is a graduate student in a mentored project, or a postdoctoral fellow, or junior faculty member (rank no higher than assistant professor) who wishes to develop a project that shows promise as a model for improving the quality of teaching and learning anatomical education.

Recognizes the best publication by an early-career anatomist in each of the society's three journals: Anatomical Sciences Education, Developmental Dynamics, and The Anatomical Record.
