SCGDB is an affiliate of the AAA. This mutually-beneficial partnership was created in 2019.

Per the agreement, AAA appoints two members to the SCGDB Board of Directors.  Appointed members are expected to maintain both AAA and SCGDB membership and attend all SCGDB Board Meetings (typically 3 a year)  including the in-person meeting at the SCGDB Annual Meeting.
